Tech Assaults 'Stop playing with yourself' campaign launches in May with a big discounted promotional Laser Tag Weekend on the 7th and 8th 2011.

The campaign is an effort to get video gamers out of the bedroom and into a fun social sport that mimics the experience found in popular online games. With the very popular Nintendo Wii and recent Microsoft Kinect there has been a distinct change in the video gaming mindset of late. More and more gamers are getting active with their hobby, but none of these technologies provide the thrill you experience in competitive gaming.

The founders of Tech Assault are both avid gamers (and still play competitively) but notice this hobby doesn't always allow kids and young adults to get the social interaction they require. Tech Assault Laser Tag takes all the fun of gaming and moves it out of the house completely - to Northcote Indoor Sports centre to be precise. On Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th May we will be holding our popular Laser Tag games, welcoming gamers and non gamers alike with a %50 discount, making it just $10 per person.

On the day there will also be conventional games consoles set up for those waiting to get on the court. All participants will have the option of displaying their gaming identities on our websites 'rescued gamers' wall so that the friendships they form on the day can continue on in their other games.
